Non-table CSS Layout for Bridge Deals: Non-IE Browsers
In this variation of the original example, we are able to remove lots of extraneous code from the HTML by using CSS's ":before" pseudo-selector. Unfortunately, I.E. does not support this feature of CSS 2.0.
This example has a new view, the "GIF" view, which is the same as the "Standard" view, except that images are used for the suit symbols. In other words, CSS allows us to work around the problem of users not having suit symbols, if only IE worked properly.
